Memorial Day

Walter Matuch of Ready Made Trains has a nice post about Memorial Day on the home page of his Ready Made Toys web site.  Check it out here.

Enjoy your Memorial Day but be sure to take a moment to think about all those that have made the ultimate sacrifice for their county.

Trains and War

On Memorial Day 2007 we honor all those brave Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice to help preserve and protect the United States of America.  Throughout the history of 19th and 20th century warfare, when our troops went to war, trains played important roles in getting them and the supplies they required to the front lines. Trains were also just as important to our enemies.   Below you will find a number of links to stories and photos about trains at war.

Happy New Year!

Blue Comet
I’ve been taking a break from blogging over the last week or so but wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year and share some photos of my Christmas Layout.  Hopefully Santa delivered lots of O Gauge goodies to everyone.  He was good to me this year and left an MTH Blue Comet set under under the tree (Santa told me he found it on Nicholas Smith’s used counter just before Christmas).   I’ll start posting on a more regular basis on Wednesday.  Be sure to add your Christmas layout photos to the OGaugeWatch Flickr Group.

Enjoy

Dave
