Lionel Launches 25 Days ’til Christmas Campaign
As part of a new Christmas email campaign, Lionel will be sending an email a day starting on December 1st to help you count down the 25 days ’til Christmas. The emails will highlight different Lionel products and also contain clips from the new Lionelville DVD and products tips. You must sign up to receive the emails by visiting Lionel.com.
Also, Lionel has announced a Black Friday sale at it’s Rockefeller Center store location. All Lionel sets, engines and rolling stock will be 20% off. Get more details here.

Lawsuit Filed by MTH Against Broadway Limited
According to the December issue of Model Retailer Magazine, MTH has filed suit against Broadway Limited Imports, maker of HO trains, for unauthorized use of patented technology dealing with the synchronization of a locomotive’s sound and smoke to its track speed. Broadway Limited Imports was started by Bob Grubba, who was the central figure in the trade secret lawsuit filed by MTH against Lionel. Grubba was also the focus of other legal tangles with MTH. The 5′ x 9′ Twice Around plan for Lionel FasTrack will fit nicely on a ping pong table or by extending a standard 4′ x ‘8 piece of plywood to 5′ x 9′.
